New Diorama Theatre Seasons

Based on the corner of Regent’s Park, over the last 10 years New Diorama has been at the heart of a new movement in British theatre, dedicated to providing a home for the country’s best independent theatre companies and ensembles.

Since opening in 2010, New Diorama has received three prestigious Peter Brook Awards and seven OffWestEnd Awards for our programme, been named Fringe Theatre of The Year at The Stage Awards, OffWestEnd Artistic Director of the Year and won The Stage’s Innovation Prize for our radical programming model.

Work commissioned and produced at New Diorama frequently tours nationally and internationally, including regular transfers Off-Broadway.

The Stage 100, which charts power and influence across British Theatre, currently list New Diorama as the most influential studio theatre in the UK

In 2021, New Diorama opened the revolutionary NDT Broadgate, a brand new 20,000 square foot rehearsal and development complex offered entirely free to independent artists to support post-Covid recovery.

10th Birthday Season Finale

From January – July 2022, we’re welcoming three major new commissions from companies who have been an essential part of our first decade, trailblazing to international recognition and critical acclaim here in the UK – plus some collaborations new to NDT, which we know you’re going to love.

And it’s all topped off by the ludicrous offer of free pizza for every audience member, every performance. Nom, nom, nom.

Have a browse through what we’ve got in store, with Guy J Sanders’ beautiful artwork.

Kandinsky present THE WINSTON MACHINE, an epic, intimate, state-of-the-nation show about our contested heritage and the shadow of Winston Churchill.

Another NDT Associate Company Rhum + Clay present PROJECT DICTATOR,
a darkly comic world premiere about artistic expression, created in
anonymous collaboration with artists living under authoritarian regimes.

And Deafinitely Theatre return with EVERYDAY,
a visually-rich, playful and pulsatingly urgent world premiere drawing
on real-life interviews with victims of domestic abuse, combining BSL
and English in the company’s unique bilingual style.

The season also welcomes IT DON’T WORRY ME, a furiously original and confoundingly funny collaboration from Bert & Nasi and ATRESBANDES as part of an international tour, PASSION FRUIT from shimmering newcomer Dior Clarke and co-writer Stephanie Martin off the back of a sell-out run at The Glory, WHEN THIS IS OVER from Camden Youth Theatre.

And – an NDT first – a film premiere of BOYS from The PappyShow. Details with streaming and screening times to be announced, Spring, 2022.
